    I can say honestly this is the single best upgrade for the g0704 you can do I converted mine to cnc and the belt drive gave me added speed but better yet it's very quiet .This kit sets the bar for belt drive conversions

    This kit is great. No reason to build your own. Installation was not very bad so long as you have some helpful scrap here and there to drive a few things in/out and to use a press if you have one, maybe a gear puller. I got the bearing kit to save trouble. I also upgraded the spindle bearings with angular contact (probably not required) which was much harder than the installation of this belt drive kit. For (optional) spindle bearing upgrade I needed to improvise some tools as follows: I put 1/8" dowel pins in a wrench like shown in link below. Also needed a chain clamp, brass sheet (under the clamp), and a 13/16 deep socket to hold the spline.

    The quality of the machining is excellent! Everything fit exactly as described and was very simple to install. The kit is very well thought out and improves the overall functioning of the machine. It runs so smooth even at 6k RPM. I am VERY pleased with this kit and for the price you would be crazy not to order instead of build your own.
